AROTC Pass/Fail

Does anyone know what Cadet Command's stance is on pass/fail classes? A few of the cadets were saying that MAJ GEN Evans said during the town hall meeting that any class a CDT took as a "Pass" would be counted as a 2.0 toward the Army GPA. I was wondering if anyone heard anything about this. Additionally, which GPA does the army look at for branch selection?

The commanding general said it, so its cadet command’s policy. GPA thru the end of your junior year is the GPA ROTC uses.

This is unfortunate as some schools did not give a choice. My DD is at Columbia - a Biomed Engineer Major and is discouraged as Her air assault slot cancelled, Army Internship at MIT Lincoln Lab cancelled, and then the pass/ fail. I think she feels this is only going to push her down the OML and she very likely was looking at being near the top.
