Good afternoon everybody, I have pestered people and lurked on this forum for close to a year now so the least I can do is give back and answer questions, share my stats, etc, which earned me a four-year scholarship!! (In addition, if it may come up this was my first board)

SAT: 1240 Super score
4.3 weighted, 3.7 UW, was in the Commonwealth Governors School Program
Major: Computer Science (Major isn't important for Army, I believe it's a single point on OML)
PFA:
50 Situps
46 Pushups
5:36 Mile

Sports
1 Varsity Letter (XC)
Baseball Freshman-Junior year (No varsity letters awarded for varsity fall ball)
Track & Field Junior / Senior year - no varsity letter awarded due to being in terrible shape (*previously*)

Extracurriculars
I am an officer of 3 clubs and a founder of one.

Several other clubs I volunteer in, and I am a national parks & services volunteer in addition to a little league umpire.

I also am a personal trainer on the side for people looking to lose weight.

I have attended a national leadership conference and received a national academic award (AP Scholar) which I believe was very helpful!!

I volunteer regularly close to 10 hours monthly (at the least)

Work:

Over the summer I work full time and school year 10-19 hours a week.

GENERAL TIPS

  • I recommend personally interviewing with a school on your list (IF POSSIBLE)! These people have to essentially write a report on you after an interview, and if they know you want to go there they are likely ( not always ) to be much more thorough and helpful in scoring
  • Taking the survey seriously!! It's worth a lot of points
  • If your standardized testing scores aren't the best it's okay!! I was in shock I got a four year with a 1240 sat, it's possible!
  • Take the essays seriously!!! Although the board doesn't have a ton of time to review each profile you want to STAND OUT, especially if your standardized testing scores aren't the best. I primarily talked about my desire to serve, my responsibility growing up, and the concept of selfless service and how it's impacted my life.
  • Have a plan B for after your scholarship, and don't lose hope, there's another board!

You have extremely solid ECs, congratulations!

Yeah, if anything this made me less confident that I’ll get a scholarship. You’re an all around master

If you would like to personally talk about your stats I could do my best to offer advice, I think the biggest things if your test scores are lacking is to make yourself stand out with leadership and motivation friend, I believe in you.

I believe you're going to be fine for third board honestly friend. I have a bit more extracurriculars but overall we're pretty similar, once you recover definitely retake that fitness test for your mile and keep working hard - you got this friend.
