AROTC Questions

1. I uploaded my scholarship acceptance letter last week on April 17th, via the AROTC scholarship portal, but it is still not showing up as approved. Should I also send the acceptance by mail?

2. I was awarded a 3 year AD scholarship, and I had assumed that I needed to be DoDMERB qualified this summer, but somebody told me I didn't need to be DoDMERB qualified until next year, is that correct?

Did you check the SELECTION STATUS section in the AROTC app. My DS uploaded and it took almost a week for the yellow check mark to be approved but in the selection status section if you scroll to the middle of the page it showed his as accepted to the specific college. If it is not showing up there I would also fax it and mail it. It can't hurt to have it sent multiple ways.

On the DoDMERB issue I would go ahead and start the process that way if you run into any roadblocks you have plenty of time to get the proper forms in. Plus with a 3YR AD the earlier you are medically qualified it will open up the possibility of an upgrade once on campus to a 3.5 or 4 YR.

I had a 3 yr AD and you are required to get medically qualified before fall 2014 due to admin purposes. I got qualified 2nd board and I got upgraded to a 4 year.
