AROTC Scholarship Board - Week of March 23, 2020

Question, do you get notified by email when your status was changed to boarded (I am currently B/UC or not? 'Cause I am currently checking my portal every hour a day could possibly have...😂

No email for my son. Only saw it in the portal.
 
Good luck everyone. This has been brutal for sure. My DS is “Boarded”- he’s our 3rd child to apply for AROTC scholarship. The other 2 were awarded in the first board so the DS’s “ego” has been hurt during this long drawn out process. Another life lesson...What we have heard from a ROO is that this year has been incredibly competitive with average GPA for first board selectees being 3.8. And we all know that’s unweighted, so -wow. An amazing pool.

Well I think it’s definitely our turn!! Hopefully we will cross paths in our military careers!! Regardless of the outcome of this board, I’m still determined to move forward with serving our country! It would appear with all the current situation, biomedical engineering surely will be valued!
 
Wow, my status changed to boarded and my schools have been locked. I have been all on boards nothing awarded to me in the first 2. I know its no guarantee I get the scholarship but still much more promising. If I do get a scholarship I cant wait to surprise them. It would help them so much.

Im really excited now! Also when I said “them” I meant my parents. I plan on attending an out of state school so the tuition is quite high.
