I already had an interview with a PMS since 25 days ago. I just checked the AROTC scholarship status on the web and it still says: "You have been selected for an interview. Please contact a PMS for an interview."

I wonder what will be the next updated message?

I have that message on mine too, since I already completed DODMERB. I got worried when a month after my interview passed and it still said that. If you did an interview at a school where you are not applying, I would recommend sending an email to Cadet Command making sure all of your stuff is in. Apparently the selection process is new this year and the school that I did my interview at said that the schools I applied to needed to send in my interview information, while the schools I applied to said the opposite. So no one turned in my stuff until I asked about it.

My status went from the interview needed to "you can check the status of your medical qualification on the DODMERB website" a few days ago. I did my interview six weeks ago, and the same day the status changed a school emailed me congratulating me on my scholarship.

Thank you. Congrats on your scholarship and college endeavors. They never ask me to do physical fitness test or presidential fitness at all. When should I start to do it?

Presidential fitness test

I am absolutely no authority about this but I will tell you that my son didn't do his presidential fitness test until just recently. The PMS he interviewed with said it wasn't necessary. We are not certain that was good info. Seems that the process has recently changed and not everyone knows the process.

My son received his scholarship to his school of choice in Sept/Oct and then this month received an email from Cadet Command requesting he complete the presidential fitness test. He did it and faxed it to the Cadet Command.

Regardless, you should get it done and faxed in so you don't have to worry about it anymore. Just ask a coach or PE teacher.

Good luck!!

All the letters I have received make it seem like EVERYTHING is needed. The test can be done by a PE teacher or a coach. I just had my coach sign the bottom and faxed it in. Info can be found here

Are you allowed to call Cadet Command and ask them if you got a scholarship? If so, what's the number?

Due to a lot of mix ups with my scholarship, I'm really paranoid that something didn't get submitted right, and want to see if I even sat for the board.

On-line Application Tracker

Your most current status will be on the AFROTC application tracker on line. If you applied after May 1, 2008 and haven't set up an account, go here http://www.afrotc.com/scholarships/applynow/appTracker.php. Otherwise, they likely won't tell you if you call. They're nice and helpful folks - at least they were when my daughter applied - don't think they'll give you this info over the phone. I may, however, be wrong. Good luck.

Don't worry about it. It gets really confusing when everyone is talking about a different branch. I check the scholarship website constantly, but since my interview got all mixed up, and the message that they apparently keep up there until you get a scholarship is to do your interview, I'm worried about something being wrong.
