DD is a AROTC junior in college with a pre-med major with the plan to obtain DPT. She has been introduced to a program at Ft. Sam Houston/Baylor for DPT that is an active duty program. Successful applicants enter a 90 month program of PT school, clinicals and service for the total of 90 months. There is no need for an Ed delay as you are active duty the whole time. My question is if she were to enter into that program upon college graduation would she owe the 4 year AROTC ADSO on top of this program or would her 4 year AROTC active duty obligation be met concurrently with this program?

Generally you aren't 'paying back' an obligation while in a training environment so I will speculate that it is 90 months (if this includes the PT service obligation) plus the 4 years of AROTC obligation to complete the ADSO. This puts it in the range of AROTC plus HPSP or USUHS for medical school. I'm sure the actual calculation is much more convoluted. If I find the calculation that identifies concurrent vs consecutive obligation I'll post it.

Edit: The Baylor program FAQ's indicate "The length of the active-duty service obligation following graduation is set by the Army, Navy and Air Force. The Army active duty service obligation is currently 90 months." So the 90 month ADSO is after completing the DPT program.

Edit2: The FAQ's ADSO quote in Edit above conflicts with the AMEDD Commissioning Program powerpoint for FY22.
