If I do attend a military college and go through an AROTC program would I still be able to do the summer programs available through AROTC?

Advanced Camp (or whatever it's called nowadays) is required n the summer between your junior and senior years, but that is not held at the military colleges. If you are taking summer classes at Norwich (don't know if the others have this), you are basically a civilian. The other thing is that, at least at Norwich, the Drill Team, Mountain Cold Weather, fall sports teams and rooks report earlier than the rest (which I'm fairly certain IS covered by AROTC). You can also go to airborne school, air assault, Ranger School, pathfinder, etc. if you are a contracted cadet (although you have to compete for slots as I recall). Your best bet is to call the AROTC units at the three schools and simply talk to them. That's where you will find the most up-to-date information, and they don't bite.

Armyman, I really think you should just apply to them all. There aren't that many. Also, you should visit them all to get a real feel for the place. I ran into a couple of Citadel cadets a few weeks ago at the Denver airport -- they were terrific kids and really the same as Norwich kids.
