AROTC transfer so school not on original list

Hello - I'm hoping someone here can answer this for me...my DS has a 4 year AROTC scholarship and has become interested in a school that wasn't on his original school of intent list. Is he still able to initiate a transfer if it is a school that wasn't on the original list of 7? Is the process different? Thank you for your help!
 
He can absolutely initiate it. Will just need the acceptance letter from the new school. Same process.
