If you get cleared by DODMERB for AROTC, does that clearance transfer to NROTC-MO Scholarship?

It depends.

Yes, if DoDMERB passes you. No, if DoDMERB DQ's you and you enter the waiver process.
  • If you are Qualified by DoDMERB then you are qualified for all SA's and all ROTC programs.
  • If you are DQ'd by DoDMERB, now it is up to each SA and each ROTC program to decide to waive you.
  • So you can receive a waiver by NROTC-MO, but possibly be declined by AROTC (or vice versa).
  • Bottom line: DoDMERB is a centralized decision. Waivers are de-centralized decisions, which only apply to each SA or ROTC program.

EEBTTF - Not necessarily. You can be qualified for AROTC and DQ for NROTC based on Army and Navy vision standards.

As AROTC-dad says, you can be DQ for both and get waived for one an not the other.

@AROTC-dad & @MullenLE - Thank you both for the response. So to clarify, if a candidate has been qualified by DoDMERB for a 4-Yr AROTC Scholarship, then he/she should be qualified for a NROTC-MO unless his/her vision exam does not meet NROTC standards? Thanks again for all of your contributions to this forum!

Correct

Yes. As long as he was qualified by DODMERB, and not by waiver.
