AMI in 3/14, but son, MSI, has been trying to get through the DOdmerb process since September, and unfortunately missed an opportunity to upgrade to 3.5 year upgrade. Just hoping he hears soon so he can contract in August. We turned in the AMI’s on March 3rd and have not heard anything. I’m not sure if the Waiver Authority is caught up yet from the fall. I would be interested to see if anyone has received a waiver approval from the second boards.
I did my medical AMI exactly a week ago and haven't heard anything since.Has anyone had anything come through the AROTC Waiver Authority lately? About how long is it taking from submission of AMI and Remedials?
I believe the next change might be to "under waiver review". Still trying to understand all the lingo and what it means in the process...I checked DODMETS today and it says my case is now closed. I checked DODMERB and instead of "awaiting remedial AMI" under my ROTC section it now says "pending waiver review".
The waiting is the worst.daughter's says under waiver review as well. Was quick from needing AMI's to this point. Now ill have to wait. Hopefully waiver review will not be too long.
Wow, that’s so fast! Was that for AFROTC or AROTC? I have heard AF is usually quicker than Army. Congratulations. Still waiting here.Waiver was finally granted yesterday. A little over 1 week from when I did the remedial so good luck to everyone else still waiting. Beyond just getting the waiver granted for AFRITC, I’m excited for the implications this has for the potential of my USAFA waiver if I do receive one.
Any updates to your status yet?Congrats
Thank you, it was for AFROTC. They were definitely quick after finding a remedial exam center (that took over a month). Best of luck to your son.Wow, that’s so fast! Was that for AFROTC or AROTC? I have heard AF is usually quicker than Army. Congratulations. Still waiting here.
Congrats! Can I ask what Board your son was awarded from? Thinking 1st or 2nd?Good news today, waiver granted for AROTC for my son, 5 weeks tomorrow since remedials submitted.
He’s actually an MSI this year, so he just now got his waiver from last year’s awards. Long story, but he ran into several issues with the whole DODMERB process. Unfortunately we were really up to speed on how soon he could have gotten started so he’s been navigating all this as a freshman, which was far from ideal.Congrats!
