As I was browsing the forums (an normal nighttime experience), I was struck by the knowledge gap between prospective Servicemembers, and people with military experience. I wanted to open up a thread where members can as an enlisted Sailor, currently on sea duty (or any military member), any questions.

Remember, just because you weren't accepted to your service academy of choice doesn't mean you can't try again. This is my 3rd package.

You have mentioned a couple times you wish you could attend USMA and go Army because of more branching opportunities/options. What branches are you most interested in? Also, since you are currently enlisted surface warfare, what service selection would you desire most upon graduation from USNA if you get an appointment?

So I am attracted to intelligence as a whole. Branch doesn't really matter to me as long as I was doing X job. I would like to go IW, then IP then SWO-IW or SWO-IP option.
