When you mean design are you talking about naval architecture? Design in the engineering program? (specifically in his discipline of mechanical engineering?) Trying to follow the updates in the engineering programs.
 
Professor Burbank is co-teaching the Mechanical Engineering capstone sequence. This course is taken by most mechanical engineers and some electrical engineers. Electrical and Mechanicals can register for either capstone sequence (the one run by Electrical or the one in Mechanical). He is a Professor of Practice in the Mechanical Engineering Dept and advises cadets from both electrical and mechanical engineering. This is because of the multidisciplinary nature of these two majors. He is also advising projects ranging from cube satellites to un-crewed systems.
