My son has decided to take the 3yr AROTC at Auburn @ Montgomery. The least expensive housing option double room quad has very few beds left for Male students. Two rooms that already had a student one was a 31 yo male, One was a smoker and one a 21 yo senior. There was one room with other room already full. There was one room left that had no one in so he grabbed a bed in it and we are hoping that maybe that can create a ROTC quad room. Being able to have roommates that get going to bed early to be ready for PT the next day as well as sorry but I don't want my teen in a room with a 31yo especially but also limiting them being bunked with 21+ers that can legally bring in alcohol which can lead to drinking/drunk parties late at night while ROTC cadets need to be able to keep grades and fitness up.
If you / DS are going to be a ROTC cadet at AUM please use the roommate search son has info that he is wanting a ROTC quad as well as room # and building in his view able roommate profile. I am not positive but the room he is not in may be able to have females in the other bedroom of the suite but they share a bathroom between the quad and pretty sure that might not be a great set up even if it is allowed.
