B-split for 8 month period

In which month or trimester does B split start for the 8 month sea year? And is the time out 8 straight months? Thanks!

My understanding is the 2013 B splitters go back out at the end of the 2nd tri in March 2011 and are out until Oct/Nov. 2011.

That is what I thought, but I keep hearing from others that B splitters have 5 tris in a row, but that doesn't add up the way I add it.

They do but it's when they return from their sea tour because they return at the end of the 1st tri of their 2C year leaving 2 tris of their 2C year and 3 tris of their 1C year.

OH, yeh now that makes sense. I thought people were saying that had 5 tris in a row, which doesn't work.
