This is the first time I've used this sight so not sure if I'm doing this right. My 16 year old son wants to attend the Naval or Coast Guard Academy. When he was 14 he fractured his L5 vertebrae had short term out patient Physical Therapy and was released with no restrictions. One year later he had some lower back pain was evaluated and told there were no changes everything looked good and had several sessions of PT again. Was again released with no restrictions. He runs track year round, plays organized baseball and basketball and has had no problems since. I know he will be disqualified and need to get a waiver. Will he even be considered as a candidate with his medical history. Should he even attempt to apply. I don't want to get his hopes up if there is no chance he will even be considered.
