I am a current mid and the rumor is that next year they are going to start renovate Bancroft. My question is where did they put the displaced kids last time they renovated
We call that a "tenant-in-place" rehab in the mutilfamily real estate business. We have crews that can do an entire apartment in 2 days.i think current gouge is that its every 1st reg wing 0 deck. so 1-0, 3-0, 5-0, 7-0, then 1st deck. People are supposed to move out for only a few weeks, but I don't think they can renovate all those rooms in under 3wks so not sure what's gonna happen.
Love your "Mid Mall" comment. I was at the Mid Store Friday afternoon, and it was packed with tons of alums. The checkout line wrapped back to the drinks section and back to the coffee shop ramp from the lower level. About as crowded as I've ever seen (I-Day & 2nd class parents’ weekend incl) which is a credit to all the alumni coming back.It sounds like this update is different than the last. The last one was a massive gut. Bathrooms were redone (women’s restrooms had urinals still when I was there as the bathrooms were that old) , heating and cooling (a/c was added), all the basement spaces also updated. Mid Store was turned into the Mid Mall of today. Not to mention a full gut and update of rooms. This sounds like rooms are getting redone.
I believe there were a lot of reunions last weekend. When that happens we OGs spend money like we never owned a single piece of USNA gear!Love your "Mid Mall" comment. There was a grad in front of me in line and he commented that this isn't the Midn Store of his days.
It was a 5-reunion weekend. Alumni everywhere. We had our share of mid sponsor family alumni staying with us or dropping by. Great fun. Gorgeous weekend. Excellent game.Love your "Mid Mall" comment. With a chance of rain in the forecast, that might be the right call. Plus getting in & out of Met Life is a pain. I long for the days when I lived at 30th & Madison and could make it straight across 31st Street, right into the Lincoln Tunnel and into parking lot Section 16A within 15 minutes. It was a 5-reunion weekend. We debated going up to the Meadowlands for N-ND coming up but are opting for the big screen, comfy couches, clean bathrooms and good food, plus replays and zoom camera shots from the Sofa Suite here.
It is a fortune. Got my tickets just before the season started. Tickets are twice as much now with both teams doing so well. Just parking is $130 right nowI debated it as well. Had found some good club level seats, but taking a pass. Will pay the fortune for Army Navy if needed.
Game this year is at Northwest/Commanders Stadium in DC (well....outside DC). Driving up and back to game that day, so have to park close. One way to do the Meadowlands is the special game day train service - IF it is being done for a major event. Park elsewhere, take the train to and from game.
I recall some years ago we took Amtrak from BWI Airport station to a station where we could connect to the NJ Transit game trains. Easy peasy. And our parking at BWI Airport Amtrak garage was about $25, plus easy rides to and from.

Again. Game is at Northwest/Commanders Stadium in MD. Great info for Meadowlands and appreciated, but doesn't really apply to where the game is this yearGame this year is at Northwest/Commanders Stadium in DC (well....outside DC). Driving up and back to game that day, so have to park close.

I was referring to Navy-Notre Dame game from my earlier post. I should have re-mentioned it in my train post, as @NavyHoops mentioned A-N, and that’s what you responded to. Meanwhile, I was posting additional info relevant to the N-ND game I was discussing as part of a general thread tangent that wandered from Bancroft Renovation to Navy football.Again. Fun Fact: CEO of NJ Transit is a Blue and Gold Officer. One way to do the Meadowlands is the special game day train service - IF it is being done for a major event. Park elsewhere, take the train to and from game.
