I do not believe it would, unless it was required to be worn by your faith group and qualified for a religious exemption. If it’s a matter of personal choice, you can step away from wearing it for a bit, keep it safe until you can wear it again. All military services have uniform, grooming and jewelry regulations. Your summer training will be vigorous. You don’t want to lose it, break it or have it become a safety hazard.The Appointee Booklet states the following with regard to jewelry, “ Basic cadets may not wear any jewelry during BCT…”
