When my dear bride said "I'm going to upgrade your cooking..." she sent me to Le Cordon Bleu.

Once you have made your own:
1. Pasta
2. Whipped cream
3. Cheese
4. Butter (and I do NOT like butter)
5. Marshmallows

You will NEVER buy in a store again...

I've done all five!

Last week I saw some leftover braised short ribs in the fridge. That gave me a craving for some Ragu. But we had no pasta. The solution? Homemade Pappardelle, of course! My wife asked me why I would bother making it from scratch when all I had to do was go to the grocery store and buy some.

My answer? "Because I can...."

Getting back on track, stuffing (dressing in my case) is my favorite Thanksgiving side. I love mashed potatoes, but make them frequently. Stuffing is one of those sides that I make maybe three times a year, and Thanksgiving is always one of those times.

ps... for those of you that have never used a ricer to make mashed potatoes, get one. You'll be thanking me later.
