Hey! I am currently a c/o 2027 applicant and was offered a CVW. I attended NASS, but felt as if it was extremely “watered down” and wanted to get a better perspective of academy life. What would be the best time of the year to visit?

Also, any texas folks going? Would be cool to meet some other people as well!

If you enjoy football, attending when there is a home game may be neat for you. Actually, even if you don’t care for the game, the experience is fantastic!!

Do you want to see USNA in all its glory, or when it really sucks...
A cool crisp fall football weekend is great-- a cold wet weekend in January / late February ( aka the Dark Ages) cooped up in the Hall or gym is a good representation of Midshipman life at the low end. You will encounter both as a Midshipman, but there is a reason that reunions are held in the fall. ( Full disclosure- I think two of my major reunions have been in post hurricane super wet weekends, but loved both!)

The CVW over Columbus Day weekend is convenient - it minimizes missed school work since I have an extended weekend. I would do what works best for you!

I have good pics of the foot of Main St and Dock Square flooded from my 25th. Lots of water around for that one.
