BFE after acceptance

The BFE finally arrived today. Exactly 4 weeks from the day DD "Accepted" on portal. While we thought it would come in the mail a week or so later, it did not. And so began her endless worry of maybe she didn't really get in after all, somehow the internet is playing a trick on her, its all a dream...etc etc. Funny how the mind can play tricks on you. What is more interesting is that what also arrived today was the SASE containing her birth certificate which she sent to USNA 2 weeks ago to fulfill the remaining 3 requirements since her portal changed. So, it makes me wonder if the BFE doesn't get mailed until all of those new 3 requirements are satisfied. Could just be coincidence but if other folks on here are wondering, where the heck is the BFE??? maybe this is helpful.

I doubt they are dependent … Our Daughter got her Pretty BFE Binder on Wed February 13th, 3 business days after Accepting on Friday February 8th.

She sent the 3 items in 3 weeks ago, and I think her Portal updated last week showing that the 3 items were received ….

Did you have Certified copies of her Birth Certificate made so that they could keep a Clean copy for her Navy Records? (They sent it back to you?)

Ah...so my theory on BFE delivery is wrong. I sent her original birth certificate. The portal stated if you send a self addressed stamped envelope they will return it, which they did today.

Ok …. So they can simply Witness the Certificate, probably Copy it, Stamp the Copy, and put it in her file.

We found out that the DMV here in VA is able to print the Originals, if you were born in VA …. I think they were $12 a copy. I had like 5 made just for cases like this.
