Billet Night - Link to the Live Stream

Man I hated billet night.... or the lead up to it. There's this pressure to jump in the air and cheer. I thought "what if I'm not excited enough?"

I felt the same way - especially because they told us "Well your CO's won't be here, but they're watching, so act excited to make a good first impression!" Having the "right" reaction was honestly right at the top of my mind. Fortunately, I got my first choice, so I didn't have to pretend at all! :)
 
I got my 3rd. One of my first two went from like 5 billets to 1, and the other had maybe 3.... both were 378's in Charleston. Then I had a bunch of 210's. So I got my first 210'. But I kind of felt, whatever comes up will work, so I wasn't going to jump around either way. But then in the back of my mind I thought, if I don't jump and everyone else on the stage for this cutter does, does that look like I hate the ship or the classmates. Fortunately no one really jumped, so it wasn't so bad.

All the photos you see are people jumping or pumping their arms in the air, and I just don't typically react that way.
