I had my interview 3 weeks ago and my interview has not been updated in the application. What should I do? Should I contact them?

Welcome to military life. Hurry up and wait :) I wouldn't be concerned. It was quite awhile before my mid's application was updated. Give it a few days and if it is not updated then respectfully and kindly contact the BGO with an inquiry.

Every BGO fills these out in different ways. I usually write mine then sit on them a few days then re-read and then upload. I always tell them when I expect to have it uploaded and try to give myself some leeway in case work travel
pops up. Your BGO might of had travel for work, vacation with their family (lots of fall breaks), or wanted to wait and conduct their other interviews. 2.5 weeks isn’t that long. A BGO knows they have to do this. Their BGO will get on them too.

My DD's BGO is MIA. She sent 3-4 emails to him over the course of a month plus updating him on where she is on the application and noms. He has not acknowledged even receiving the email. I realize they are volunteers and have busy lives, but I would think a 2 second acknowledgment would be politesse?

Contact the Area Coordinator. She should have this on her portal or it’s easily found online. Drop them an email saying where she is at in the process and has reached out to her BGO X amount of times. Some BGO’s won’t interview candidates until they get to a certain %. It sounds like your daughter is fairly far along. If this is the BGO’s method they should at least acknowledge her and let her know that.

@Someguy

My DS was concerned about it as well. His Navy's portal was showing BGO interview not received even after 5 weeks of the interview. Also, it was showing that his DoDMERB is not being updated either after 3 week of him getting notified from the DoDMERM for his medical clearance as "Qualified". So he simply sent an email to his Navy's counselor as an FYI and requesting if he can do anything about it. She replied with a suggestion that normally it can take up to 30 days for DoDMERB results to update. Also, she asked my DS to send a "gentle reminder" to his BGO. That's what he did last week on Thursday and his BGO did reply saying he will submit it shortly.

Cheers ...

same with our BGO. the interview was 4-5 weeks ago but it was never submitted to USNA. DS emailed, got no response. DS called and he said he'd get to it at some point. but he never did respond to the email, including a question about CVW. I guess its unfortunate that we got a super busy BGO that doesn't have time to respond to emails but that's the hand we were dealt and such is life. I assume one day he will send it in, hopefully before December

Yes, she is - only piece pending is the BGO interview - Application is in, All Noms are in, DoDMerb done, CFA done...

Three weeks may seem like a long time, but as mentioned above, there are a lot of extenuating circumstances that may cause a delay. It was be submitted, so be patient. I would send a polite e-mail after a month from the interview and ask about the whole package - a gentle reminder.

adding that after 4 weeks my DS sent a gentler reminder email and about a week later it appeared in the NA portal as complete :)

I guess, all of us will learn some useful deep breathing techniques as a part of this process - positive thinking :) but not getting attention from the person you expect the most is kind of unusual. I have had the same experience. For my DS, all the application is done except 2 things - BGO feedback and MoC nomination (which is okay as it has not happened yet).

BTW, @MoSwimmer66, may I ask you which state/district you are from ? Getting the Nomination already make me believe that your MoC is quite efficient and on the top of the process.

Good Luck to your DD ...
