Hello,

I had my interview on September 26th, and my BGO hasn't tuned in a report for me.
Does it usually take that long?
If not, what should I do?

Sometimes it does.
If you are waiting on your nomination, that's the important one.
If everything in your application is complete and you have a nomination, USNA will send a friendly reminder to your BGO.

You could call your BGO and thank them (if you haven't already) and update them on your progress. That's a good time to ask if they need any additional information on you that they didn't get in the interview. If they don't answer the phone, they might be on vacation.

Sometimes that will remind them that they need to upload your interview write-up without coming out and asking them.
And it's always nice to thank a volunteer for donating their time.

You could EMail too, but if it's a guy or gal as old as me, they will (probably) appreciate you picking up the phone. ;)

My DS was in similar situation about the BGO interview. He inquired about it with his Admission counselor, letting her know that his interview was conducted on such date. She was very nice and explained him about the process and asked him to "gently remind" the BGO to submit his evaluation. That's what my DS did and his portal status changed within a week.

A fine line between being the squeaky wheel and a pest. A gentle reminder or calling with another question to get back in the BGO's mind is appropriate. They are busy people and sometimes things may get "forgotten".

similar situation so my DS emailed him and asked when he might be able to turn it in and the BGO apologized for delays and he turned it in a week later.
