BOLC dates

Specifically for Engineering majors and those going into reserves.

For those commissioning, how long is your wait time for BOLC? I know everyone is different. I would just like to know a general time frame. thanks

DS graduated/commissioned 5/16 waited till 01/22/17, had classmates that went in less than two weeks, the longest wait for anyone in his battalion was till 3/17.

Our son commissioned a couple weeks ago and reports to QM BOLC Sept 24. He's fortunate to have found a logistics company that is willing to give him a job/internship until he reports to Ft Lee.

DS commissioned on Saturday reports to Ft Knox today as cadre. Leaves mid August and has 2 days to get to ft sill for BOLC. Crazy...

DS commissioned this past Sat. IBOLC report date 5/26 Ft Benning.
He'd heard DMGs go sooner.

Reserve Units have BOLC dates pre-scheduled for them. Does he have a contact at his new unit? He will also need to know his reporting date for drill and their monthly schedule. 1st drill is usually in June unless they are away at AT then. If he is still in school his unit should have shown him how to look it up.

He will graduate May 2018. We were just looking ahead so he might have some kind of idea when interviewing in the fall for jobs after graduation. He is still learning more about the reserves because initially he wanted active but has recently changed his mind. Thanks, I'll have him keep learning.
