My DD is trying to fill out the appointee kit, but has a question on the "Cadet Issue" boot part. The survey asks for boot size, but it seems that the answer will vary for the brand of boot they will get. She recently bought a pain of Beleville 690s, which are unisex boots, and they fit great. Should she just put in the size of her Bellevilles or the size of her normal shoe? Are the cadets fitted for the boots during in-processing? If so, then the size she puts in shouldn't really matter that much, right? Thanks!

I would recommend the Belleville size, if different than normal shoe size, since that is the brand the Academy will supposedly be issuing

that is what we plan to do

Try and submit as accurate a size as you can, the Academy uses those sizes to make sure they order enough boots of each size...but you'll be fitted when you get here in June.

I fretted over the boot sizing. I even drew around his feet and read up on the boots. Sigh. In the end, they just want an idea of what sizes to have on hand. Best advice we got... Do not leave that area until you have a pair of boots that fit you well!!!! They must advocate for themselves! There is nothing worse than going through BCT with ill fitting boots. Send Moleskin with them as well.
