Boot memo for the class of 2027

Has the "Boot Memo" for the class of 2027 USMA sent out ?
Also, where can I find the list of things to pack for the Beast training.

The boot memo was sent out in the first admissible, called "Authorized footwear for class of 2027", I think on Feb(?) 1st. The packing list was released in the third admissible in your candidate portal on March 31st. You have to accept your appointment before you can see these but they're all in there. Unrelated but important information, in the first and second admissibles there was a swimming survey and uniform measurement survey that are supposed to be completed by May 15th so that everything will be ready on R-Day.

Regarding footwear, I and many other cadets would highly recommend the Garmont T8 NFS. Probably the best all-around boot for everything. Some other popular ones are the:

1. Oakley Light Assault (not great for the field but very light and breathable)
2. Garmont NFS Bifida (The exact opposite of the Oakleys. Very heavy but solid for the field)

I personally used the Under Armor Valsetz, which are excellent boots that are great for rucking, but are very different in design fro your typical boots. I'd stick with the Garmont NFS.

How about low quarter Oxfords? I cannot find any of the Bates called out in the memo. Looks like Bates (now Wolverine?) stopped producing the E00112 and the E00932 which are called out in the 2027 Boot Memo. All I can find now is the E22233 MEN'S SENTRY HIGH SHINE OXFORD.

No high shine. Learning to shine the shoes is part of the process. It is not the Naval Academy.

My son at USMA has worn the Garmont T8's and one of the Reebok models. His choice for all over comfort for rucking, class, and field training has been the Belleville Coyote C320 Ultra Light Assault Boot. They are available from the Exchange. As I remember, he may have replaced/upgraded the insole with something for running/training.

Any shoes the say DLATS on them are approved according the to cdt store
