I took DS to a nearby Army base uniform shop to try on/buy boots for R-Day. Unfortunately, the sales ladies were of little help (other than pulling boxes and saying "no" to my request to buy socks specifically meant for boots). Observing our floundering, an Officer(West Point graduate) nearby offers to buy DS boot socks so he can try on the boots properly 
A Colonel who was in the shop (another West Point grad) comes over and after a brief chat with DS, gives him his business card and says if he ever needs any advice, help, etc. with anything, to email or give him a call
