Boots

Does anyone know the model of the Belleville Khyber boots listed on the Plebe shoe order form? Is it TR550?

Equally important as the boots are the socks and, for some, shoe inserts. A good quality sock such as Darn Tough will make a huge difference. I actually wear two pairs of socks with my boots: A very thin pair with a thick wool sock over top. I also wear a shoe insert (Superfeet Green) as I have narrow heals. All of these help prevent blisters. Folks might say that two pairs in the summer will be hot. Where I am, the temperature is well over 100 for three months of the year and tops out at about 125 for a week or two. Hot feet are better that blistered heels. By the way, I wear Garmont T8s and log about 10 miles a day in them.

I really like using this tactical boots when traveling. My boots are made from split-grain leather: They are sturdy and flexible while also providing excellent ventilation. This pair of leather boots is far less expensive than comparable pairs, but it trades out some dependability in the process.

You must have sturdy, weatherproof, and non-slip tactical boots no matter what conditions or terrain you may encounter. As a result of their readiness for everything, tactical boots are truly "tactical."

Just curious, do you wear different boots during winter in USMA or it's the same boots that you wear for summer field training?

That's up to you and I guess the condition of your boots after field training. 😀 My cadet has a "field pair" and a "garrison pair". As you would guess, the field pair are more sturdy while the garrison pair are a little lighter weight. But to each their own. Best wishes. (Fyi, we sent the second pair after beast.)
