Both NASS and SLE?

I was accepted to NASS and will be attending their 3rd session, but I have recently become curious about West Point's SLE and so I just submitted an application to their program as well. If I get in, however, I would have to attend their first session, meaning that I would spend June 7-13 at West Point, and then June 14-19 at Annapolis. My goal is to try to get as much exposure to the military academy life as possible. Has anyone here done this or heard of others doing this before? Is this a bad idea - do you think I may be too exhausted after SLE to fully enjoy NASS, my first choice?

At SLE there were a lot of candidates that were going to 2 different Academy summer programs and a select few that were going to all of the big 3. Personally, I think attending one program is enough to learn about the academy lifestyle, however, I would go to more than one if I was unsure about which academy I wanted to attend in order to help me make up my mind.

CFA

Great thing about attending two seminars is you'll get to take the CFA twice! An extra opportunity to take the CFA is nothing to scoff at.

Thanks for your responses!

Aspiring, do you think I could do better on the second one even after all the PT at SLE the week before?

I went to both last year and I would highly recommend it! All of my friends coming from SLE to NASS agreed that SLE was a much more enjoyable experience by the way :)

My DD went to both last year, but had a week between the two, so logistically there wasn't an issue. She liked NASS better than SLE, but definitely felt there was a very different pool of selectees at SLE vs. NASS. It could have been that because there were only 500 total who went to SLE vs. over 2000 at NASS. She said everyone at SLE was highly engaged and motivated and that was not the same at NASS. At NASS she met several kids who really didn't even want to be there! Our DS has been selected for both, but it would be back to back, so we will need to figure out the transportation between the two and getting laundry done somewhere on the transition day. I guess he could bring two suitcases of stuff with him to have clean clothes for both, but I can already hear the grief a guy would get showing up with 2 suitcases for a week! He'll find out this week if he gets selected for Boys State, and if does, he'll be turning down the SLE week, since they overlap.

Don't forget to at least consider AIM at CGA. I believe it is a VERY different experience than the other SA's Summer programs.
