As of last Friday, a total of 42 of the 51 Boys State Programs had cancelled for 2020. Three were postponed until later in the Summer or Next Year.
I was told that Alabama, Missouri and New Jersey were the three. As I am a trustee for NJ, I have more detailed info about our plans.
We will try to continue to select current High School Juniors for the program which will be in June 2021 (their Senior Year). They will attend with
2021's Juniors so we expect a much larger program and will have more Cities and Counties. Our venue (Rider Univ) can support the larger
group. We understand that some number of the Seniors will have already graduated or could graduate during the week and will attempt to
accommodate. We're not sure if Seniors can be our reps to Boys Nation and will react as necessary if that is an issue.

At the current time our Governor - the actual Governor of the whole state has all legion posts shut down due to COVID and there are posts that
are not able to manage Boys State selections due to money or other issues but we do have some that are forging ahead and trying to select
our reps as usual. For more info, check your state's Boys State website. In our case it is ALJBS dot Org

Texas Boys and Girls State websites say they will be doing it online, and hopefully they will be able to make this happen!
Boys state details TBD
Girls State 06/14-20/2020 with more details TBD

It's promising that they haven't cancelled them outright, some sign of hope. Hooray!

NJ Girls State has said they will go online and that was considered but we rejected it because far too much just can't be done
from off site. Yes, you can hold seminars or other presentations but the real meat of Boys State is the political process and despite
having a VERY technically astute and youthful group working on it, they were not able to come up with a a way to do it from afar.

Girls state Missouri canceled: i’d imagine it would be the same for boys state?

Yes, agree it's not a zoom class of 25 kids. I do see how it would be very difficult with hundreds of kids!
At least TX candidates can say they were selected for Boys/Girls State!

No telling, They are run by different (but related) organizations. Here, they are totally separate with virtually no cross pollination of staff, etc
