After cadets rank their branch choices they get back a "rating" from the branches rating them most preferred, preferred, or least preferred. Does anyone know if the branches put number limits of their ratings? For example does a branch that only has 20 available slots give 20 most preferred or do they give 100? Does anyone know?

I can tell you this past year with AROTC accessions it depended heavily on the branch. For example, some branches, like Cyber and EOD, gave very few "most preferred" ratings -- like not many more than they had ROTC slots for. Others did it 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. Others there was no discernible pattern.

Curious if anyone has branch rating intel. Some branches give out Most Preferred rating sparingly, almost a 1:1 ratio, and others more like 6:1. For the branches with the latter description, can the comments indicate the level of most preferred, ie not all MP are created equal? And, can anyone...
