One of my dreams is to hopefully become either a CRO or go into SR. How does it work to get selected for the pipelines? Do I branch into a normal field and then apply or can I go straight into selection/the pipeline?

My info is dated, but I believe there is still a selection process at USAFA. Those AFSCs are selected a bit differently and require extra testing to get selected.

You can join the special warfare club. We have CROs and TACPs here. You take the PAST which is the fitness test and if selected, you go to selection. If selected for CRO or any battlefield airman job, you will still put in normal job preferences but you will still get your BA job.

Are you allowed to join the club even if you know special warfare isn't for you? I think that it'd be a good experience, which is why I ask.

I would. Not talking from any experience whatsoever, but I see combat shooting, sandhurst, and other clubs like that would probably give you a similar experience without wanting to choose the spec ops field. It would give you great physical health and mental health, probably some nice stuff to know if shtf, too.
