Hi everyone!
My son got scholarship with Navy ROTC, he got medically disqualified because of “ history symptomatic of diverticulitis “ he had 4 years ago. We tried to get waiver and BUMED denied him again. He didn’t have any problems and doesn’t have to take any medication for it. He did a CT scan and the doctor said he doesn’t have diverticulitis anymore but he has diverticulosis. And he physically healthy.
Please give us advice what we can do about this.
Thank you so much.

I can’t help you. But I had diverticulitis years ago.

Apparently a seed got stuck in my intestine. Gave me medicine. And I flew to watch the Minnesota Vikings destroy the New York Giants at the metrodome. One of my favorite memories with my kids.

They told me to stop eating seeds. I’m didn’t listen. And I have not had a problem since.

Best of luck.

Thank you so much, he hasn’t had any problems since then, and diverticulitis can prevented so we don’t really know what else can we do now. This is the only problem holding him back.

It cannot really be prevented. Even stress can bring it on. As a matter of fact I’m sure that’s how I get mine. Not from seeds or foods.
