How do I find and obtain information about cadet courts martial? Is there a database I can search? Is there information about ongoing or planned proceedings?

As indicated by UHBlackhawk you can search in the All Dockets and All Cases 'menu' with West Point as the Location or US Army Military Academy as the Installation for those in the past. Docket List appears to be only those scheduled in the future which does not include anything at West Point.

It concerns me that you are searching for this - reach out to a trusted professional advisor for assistance. I did see the SSG involved in the vehicle rollover accident last year does have a scheduled Court Martial date but it's listed as Ft Stewart.
 
It’s heart breaking to see some of the cases. Parents send their kids off to West Point with high hopes.

I will never forget a young soldier in my command who got court-martialed for being a barracks thief. He got caught up with the wrong crowd at Ft Bragg. His NCOs, the 1SG and I tried to save him but it was too late. He got caught with a car full of stolen items.
His parents came to the trial. After the soldier was sentenced to 5 years they asked if they could speak with me. I thought they would be mad at me but it was the opposite. They apologized for their son disgracing the unit and thanked me and the 1SG for trying to help him. They also apologized for their son letting us down. I realized then that the “Kid” came from a good family and his parents were heart broken. I hope that is something I never face.
I am not by any stretch trying to minimize the impact on the victims.

I was very surprised to read the cases and charges. Very. Such a waste.
 
When I was a plebe I recall a Firstie in my company (he would have been Class of 1985) being court-martialed on charges of drug distribution (cocaine). It turned out he was running a ring in the Corps and he received a 20 year sentence at Fort Leavenworth. He got what he deserved in my opinion. Drug dealers have (unfortunately) been around for a long time at the SAs. When caught SAs will deal with them harshly, it’s just a fact.

If you plan on attending a SA don’t mess around with drugs. If you get injured in training or playing a sport and are prescribed opioid-based pain killers think long and hard before taking them as they are highly addictive. In reading up on some of these cases about the Army football players I’m quite surprised to see how flippant medical staff were about prescribing these types of pain killers - they are playing with fire and it is sad to see how promising cadets have had their lives destroyed by addiction. Very sad.

It, unfortunately, seems like many opioid-related addiction stories start with a valid prescription.
 
@UHBlackhawk It came as a surprise to me (as a rookie in LE), when I realized that there can be many more victims in a criminal case that're just aren't listed in the "Victim" box on the forms...Your post reminded me of this. Thanks for sharing your story.

Needless to say the documents are eye opening and lead me to believe Cadets are mere pons in the political agenda's of senior cilvian and military authorities. Somehow we as a collective body should come together to prevent Cadets from being exploited.
