My child has the invitation as well. Going there will be a financial challengefor us but of course I will find a way IF the invitation truly reflects "something" about my child's application/prospects.
Does anybody know if the Cadet for a Day invite is selective? Or is it sent to pretty much anybody not selected to the AIM program?
That being said, my cadet was accepted without attending Cadet for a Day, so it does happen. He did a visit after he was accepted, though, to aid in his decision. I think that admissions understands that there is a financial challenge for many people. My child has the invitation as well. Does anyone know if there is a program like Cadet for a Day for Juniors? I was hoping I could get my son to see his sport during practice. I keep hearing about Bean Sprout. Does anyone know anything about this?
Both are recruitment tools to ensure that the CGA has a diverse range of applicants to pick from. For those of us with kids that want to be at CGA, it is sometimes hard to remember that CGA has to compete against AFA, NA, MA, MMA and other colleges to get recruits. For that reason they have various programs to basically promote the academy to kids from all different backgrounds that may not be aware of what CGA has to offer them. End goal is ensure that admissions has a diverse pool of applicants to pick from. AIM week and sports recruiting are two other ways the academy works to promote itself. Is Cadet for the Day equal to Genesis Invitational? I know they're different programs, but are they equally looked at with admissions?
