My DS is a rising MSII (Academic Jr) majoring in cybersecurity. He has become interested in participating in either a co-op or internship to gain more hands on experience. I've read the Cadet Cmd Pam 145-4 about Leave of Absence (LOA). My confusion is if he misses the Fall Semester of his MSIII year, will he have to take a LOA that spring, because he will not be prepared for LDAC (Advance Camp) or will he take both his Fall MSIII and MSIV classes at the same time and attend LDAC after his senior year?

At my host school, a huge portion of our cadets have co-op/internship requirements. They usually have to take 5 years to graduate/finish ROTC, and go to LDAC the year before their senior year. I don't know what your DS's options are.

If your son is an MSII he should probably be figuring this out on his own by contacting his cadre. Only his cadre will be able to fully answer this question accurately.

Completely concur, he will discuss with his cadre and the university (tech university with lots of engineers on a five year program). Just trying to get smart, he can ask the right questions in a concise way.
