Cadet Second Class and a Prior Enlisted: please, ask me questions!

Unfortunately I didbt go to the prep school. I was a direct. I do however have several prior preppie friends who really regretted not having their civilian clothes. You won’t be allowed to have coffee makers at the academy until you’re an upperclassmen so don’t worry about that. I would have the things you wanted shipped after you get sponsor parents so that you can leave your belongings with them
 
Hello, I'm a prior enlisted guy and have been directly accepted into the Academy for the class of 2022.
I have a desktop and a laptop currently in possession. I'd like to keep these items with me for my duration in the Academy- but was wondering if I am allowed to bring these items to the BCT or I need to get them shipped after the BCT.

Computers are explicitly listed on the list of things not to bring to BCT (Class of 2022 Appointee Booklet - Page 18 - https://www.usafa.edu/app/uploads/2022_Appointee_Booklet.pdf). You will want to check with your squadron as to what will be allowed during the academic year. I know cadets who had laptops delivered after BCT (they can be be put away and out of sight during inspections), but not sure about desktops.

Appointees will want to bring only these items on the In-Processing Checklist to BCT. Good luck - thank you for undertaking this challenge.

You need to get it shipped after BCT. Pack light.
