DD received a call from her congressman yestaurday telling her WestPoint will be offering her an appointment. This morning she has official correspondance in her portal saying she's fully qualified and is placed on the NWL. Which one is it? Could the appointment have been given since the letter was written and the phone call? that's within a few hours!

The Congressional offices are notified before the candidate's portal updates. This gives the representative a chance to reach out and share the good news directly with the candidate. Give it a couple of days for the portal to update (Thursday/Friday) or the BFE to arrive at your home. Congratulations!

Yep, as stated above there is nothing to worry about. She has her appointment. DS #2 just went through this exact same process last week with USMA. Congressman or Senator calls your kid with the good news the rest comes shortly after. CONGRATULATIONS to you DD!
