Candidate & Appointee Social/Reception

Class of '28 hopeful here. No LOI/LOA's and no call from a MOC (2x nominated though; Senator & Congressman), but I received an interesting email that I haven't seen anyone on here talking about. I have reached out to the 2d Lt listed, but I am additionally curious about the larger input from Cadets & Parents who have gone to this event, or one similar.
I feel that I have a good understanding of the admissions process (started the whole USAFA thing 400+ days ago. Wow, can't believe it was that long ago that Summer Seminar apps opened) and by the event, March 22, I should hopefully know about an appointment decision, so I am just trying to figure out what this may additionally address.

My son attended something very similar in San Antonio several weeks ago. It was basically a q&a session. Only one parent allowed etc. He too is patiently waiting to hear if he has been appointed.
