After submitting essays and the CAR remarks in the USMA portal, DS noted the formatting (spaces between lines/ paragraphs) didn't stick.

Can anyone share if their formatting transferred over in the Salesforce UI for USAFA's Candidate Kit? Specifically the Extracurricular/Leadership, Volunteer Service, Employment, and Special Interest fields.

DS noticed the same thing about USMA when he did his essays. He hasn't completed USAFA app yet, so I am no help there.

Thanks!!! @Texark147

DS hasn't worked the bulleted sections yet. However, I expect when he returns from his last summer trip and begins working on that formatted section, I'll see his left eyebrow twitch. LOL!

My son is also gone this week for his last trip, serving at a civil air patrol encampment. It has been a very busy summer with summer seminars, Boys State, etc. I feel like I haven't seen him at all.

Yes, the formatting disappears with the transfer over. I warn my students to prepare to create 'bullets' for the AFA resume sections so keep it simple. Hope that helps.

It has been a very busy summer and I'll be thankful to return to the regularly scheduled programming of a busy school schedule! :)

I recommend the latter. I note to my students a similar format, for example . . .

Aviation mechanical experience, Jan 2022 - Jun 2023
- Interned at my local flight center
- Assisted with all types of plane repair for Cessna 172 and other small aircraft
- 3 hours per week on average

No real magic to the format, but I hope this helps.
Above is an example that I shared with another student a few weeks ago . . .
