You can also assume that at least 1 slot is open each year -- either from graduating or leaving early.I am wondering how one can tell if the AFA already has it's max quota of 5 from congress?
If there are five cadets attending, what chances does a nominee have? None right?
I am asking because my daughter has applied, one of the nominees from the list (from our congressman) has been chosen already. Three of our last years high school are freshman this year although I know at least two of them have Presidential noms. This is so nerve racking...Remember, too, that you have two senators and a congressman/woman, plus vice-presidential noms. At least one or more of these people will have an open slot.
You should always go for an academy if that is what you truly want. You will never know until you try.
Wow! All from the same high school!I am asking because my daughter has applied, one of the nominees from the list (from our congressman) has been chosen already. Yes every year our high school has had at least one go into the AFA last year three and one to West Point, our JAFROTC program has over 200 students in it, it is a high quality program. My daughter didn't know she wanted to go this rout till this past summer, she had many friends and two siblings in the JAFROTC program last year and one this year, the other chose to go into law enforcement.Wow! All from the same high school!
So, are you from Colorado Springs? That would explain the density of applicants.I am asking because my daughter has applied, one of the nominees from the list (from our congressman) has been chosen already. No, a small town north of San Antonio called Cibolo but AirForce base near by also surrounded by military bases. So, are you from Colorado Springs? That would explain the density of applicants.
