How important are the statements? I know that Ill need every opportunity to make my application better however I was wondering how much the written statements account for. Thanks

They are important regardless of how much they are accounted for. With that being said, you should take your time to come up with your essays.

They're vitally important. These statements are the admissions committee's only chance at hearing why you want to attend West Point. It allows them to see your character and match it to your profile.
