Candidate Status

Hello,

My son has received an email saying he has made it to Candidate status. We have still not heard back about the Summer Leadership camp from Air Force or West Point, but he was accepted to the Naval Academy SLE. Does getting to Candidate Status For AF up his chances to get into the AF SLE?

I believe that summer seminar will be released at the start of April.

Thanks, he is only going to be able to do one of them and we have been getting a lot of emails from Navy about making a commitment to attend their camp, but we would like to wait to see if he gets into the others.

Candidate status and summer seminar are not at all related. Also, selection or non-selection for summer seminar has zero bearing on an appointment.

Thanks for the info, we are visiting VMI and The Citadel next week during his spring break and hopefully we can check out one of the Academy’s this summer so he can get some perspective on the differences between the Academy’s and the public schools
