Capt. MJ - congrats on hitting the 5000 message mark!

The academy awards are this weekend. Timing seems perfect. ‘And the Oscar goes to...’ for Best Advice over the years. I can think of many things that CAPT MJ has offered guidance on personally that have benefited my family directly. Many thanks for your time and energy posting and sharing. Always in a gentle, effective way!

Ok, ok, you all are too much, let’s go share knowledge and help others with a few laughs along the way.

Oh my - I had no idea. You all are very kind.

I think it really means I have way too many “my .02” to share.

I have always aspired to be a servant leader, and SAF allows me to feel like I can still contribute in that vein. I also learn a great deal from all of you, and eat way too much [emoji897][emoji897][emoji897][emoji897] when the exchanges get lively.

Don’t sell yourself short. Some of your advice is worth at least $0.05… and much appreciated, in contrast to how Midshipmen receive the value of their education, a nickel at a time [emoji6]

By the way, you are currently at the top of the list for “Most Likes” on SAF. Well deserved!

I cannot tell you all what these kind words from our SAF community have meant to me yesterday and today. I spent 6 hours yesterday at a canine oncologist getting the worst possible news for a beloved boxer who is otherwise vibrant and healthy, and as we struggle with what’s right for her this weekend, I am buoyed by SAF posts with good news, and knowing the ability to feel great joy is life’s counterpart to feeling great sadness.

I’m sorry. A friend just lost his beloved French bulldog to cancer a few days ago.

I treasure my goldendoodle every day.

No happiness can relieve that sadness.

Saw the pic you posted at one point of your Boxer. Beautiful dog.

I am partial as my Emily is a Boxer mix, but she acts like 1000% Boxer. I will give her extra loves in honor of your Pup.
