Care package “any plebe”

I was writing a letter to "any plebe" and I got to wondering what are the circumstances under which somebody doesn't receive any packages or letters? I realize there are some from outside the USA and foreign mail probably takes forever. Are there some who dug their way there without much or any parental involvement and so would essentially be on their own? I wasn't quite sure what to say in the letter other than words of encouragement.

We sent a couple of care packages and letters to "Any Plebe" last PS. We received one thank you letter back and actually met the MIDN at a football game!
 
These are important after plebe summer as well. Things get better, but they are still plebes.

Following got favorable reviews from DD, company mates and detailers:

Small, plastic shoe box (rodent/roach resistant) for storage;

Stamps, envelopes (yes USNA stationary it better, but going for convenience);

Fruit rollups/fruit snacks (they can eat them in their rack without leaving a mess);

Funny military memes, especially picking on USMA and USAFA. (Detailers made special trips to her room to see the latest post).

Inspirational quotes for bulletin board.

Notes/letters why you believe in them (even though you do not know them). They have busted their tails to sign up for service at an elite level and in harm's way. Cannot say enough.

The following got rave reviews from DD as convenience/time saver- she could sleep on top of her rack (already made) and stuff/ pack this when rousted out. Not cheap ($70), but made a difference all year long. She takes it everywhere - travel, football games, offshore sailing etc. Has it with her this summer.

This is definetily a great idea. But I think we’ll wait after PS I just don’t want her to pack one more thing when they move dorms in august
