Care packages during Beast?

I want to send a care package of food to DDs BF, who is a plebe at USMA. However, I just saw a thread from 2011 saying no food gifts are allowed during Beast whatsoever. Is this still the case? I just went shopping and have all kinds of goodies for him!

No food OR packages are allowed during Beast. Wait until after A-Day (8/16). The only exception of a package is something specifically requested by the new cadet, like socks, etc, and that package has to fit in their post office box (so small USPS flat rate or envelope).

My DD is at USCGA and can receive food during Swab Summer. However, no phone calls at all, and no facebook for the entire 4th year!

I wonder which she would rather choose - the food, or communication. I think communication... (I hope!)

If you can figure out which religious service he goes to for Chaplain's time, you could send it there instead. They'll distribute it among all the NC's but he'll get some of it!
