Cell Phones and other Personal Effects

I was just wondering, what happens to items such as cell phones and wallets on R-day? Is there a locker or something to store those items safely? Any and all insight is appreciated.
 
Don't know which Prep school you're asking about but for AFA Prep you'll have a foot locker that has a lock where you can put things in.
