Please excuse me, for I am new to this forum and I am hoping someone can provide constructive criticism if need be. I just took the CFA and was curious if I should still train or if these scores would suffice.

Basketball Throw- 77 feet
Cadence Pull-ups- 5
Shuttle Run- 8.42
Modified Sit-ups- 93
Push-ups- 65
One-Mile Run- 6:26.95

I am worried that my pullups might be too low, if not I'd like to submit them tomorrow within the allotted time period. Any help/suggestions are very much so appreciated!

I did 5 pullups and passed. Good job on the rest of the test too! You killed it.

Go to Gain Service Academy. There is a CFA calculator and if you punch in those values it will tell you what your score is. I believe a passing score is either a 450 or a 550. I heard the average score is mid 500. Max is 800.

I've heard it is pretty inaccurate from others on here.

From my personal experience, I knew what my CFA score was, and when I punched in my scores it was only off by about 10 points.

Posters could probably be more targeted in their suggestions if they know what options DS has explored and not been successful.

From usma.edu:
WHO CAN ADMINISTER THE CFA?
 Physical Education Teachers
 Military Academy Liaison Officers
 Military Officers or
Noncommissioned Officers
 Professors of Military Science
 J/ROTC Instructors

Knowing school is a challenge right now, has he struck out with PE teachers and JROTC instructors at his school and other schools in OC?
Has he looked into the nearest college ROTC unit? (Professors of Military Science)

Officers and NCOs can be found at National Guard Armories and Reserve Centers. There are full-time Reserve and Guard personnel there during the week.

NCOs can be found at field recruiting offices.

Has he consulted with his USMA point of contact on where he has run into obstacles?

If we know where he has run into walls, then creative solutions may appear.

Thank you for your suggestions. You offer great ideas. We contacted RC, FFR, and local high schools so far. We'll try calling the army reserve.

Fellow OC applicant here! My school is still hybrid so I was able to get my PE teacher to officiate it last week. UCI and a few other universities in the area have ROTC so you might be able to get someone from there. Good luck!

In OC as well. Luckily my PE teacher was able to administer it and we scheduled a day to come on campus and do it as schools are still all online in my district. Not sure what part of OC you are, but my backup plan was to contact ROTC officers at local colleges to do it. I interviewed with CSUF for my AROTC interview, and had I needed to do my cfa still, I would've contacted and asked him.

DS is in CA-45 district. He's pursuing all options available to him. Thank you for your support. If all future cadets had your generous character, then I'm not a least of bit worried about America's future. Thanks again and good luck to you!

wish you and your ds luck in interviews and finding someone to administer the CFA as well. If January comes around and still no luck, please shoot me a pm. I'd be more than happy to help find one as we are in very close proximity of each other. Plus who knows, we may meet one day 🤷🏻‍♂️

My DD had a little bit of trouble connecting with a gym teacher to administer due to the current hybrid of her school. She ended up sending a message to her school counselor and explained the situation and the importance of the assessment to her future. The counselor coordinated a meeting with a gym teacher and got approval from the superintendent for time in the school gym and on the property. Our next step would have been ROTC @ our local university. Good luck!
