I just received an email from one of the West Point admission officers asking me to refilm my push ups because my feet were touching the wall. Although they weren’t I do not want to argue with the admission officers and I understand why it may seem that my feet look like they are touching. I am willing to retake it if it is necessary. But I haven’t been training as much as before. Do you think it will affect me if I do fewer reps than my actual CFA scores say??

Whatever number you do in your retake will be what is recorded. Not knowing your numbers nobody can state whether a few less would effect your overall CFA. one of my sons has to re-take his pull-up video twice. He is now a USMA cadet. He looked at it as an opportunity to do more pull-ups because he was only re-taking the one event, not the whole CFA. It is YOUR chance to show what you can do. If you do end up at USMA you should be prepared to crank out some push-ups!

Thank you so much

Agree with Allectus and MarTac. Also, backing off on your training after submitting the CFA can be misguided. You need to arrive at USMA or any SA in great physical condition (or you are doing yourself and others a real disservice). Good luck with the retake.

Arguing or disagreeing with the admissions officer is not a good policy. If they ask you to retake it, then do that. It is probably safe to say that if you do not resubmit, you will not receive an offer of admission. On the bright side, they wouldn't ask you to resubmit if they didn't think you were a competitive candidate.
