Ok so I had to resubmit my original CFA push up video a few days ago because it wasn't filmed correctly and I injured my rotator cuff (thankfully not a tear) shortly before my retake so my score dropped to 36 push ups but there is no more time to rectify at this point. I know this is God-awful and I am worried about failing. Would West Point contact USAFA about a (since I am applying there as well) score discrepancy? I am worried that USAFA will consider this as an issue.

The minimum amount of pushups you need to pass is 35. I was in similar situation when I injured myself at the gym and only did 41, as oppose to my initial 74. As long as they consider 35 out of your 36 push-ups perfect, you passed.

To your question, the service academies do not talk to each other about candidates during the admissions cycle.
Let's hope your shoulder heals up quickly and completely.
